CSE Press Release: Development of cooperation with Moscow stock exchange

On Friday, July 4, 2008, the CSE had significant contacts and deliberations with the Moscow Stock Exchange (MICEX’s).

The contacts were made within the framework of the meeting between the representatives of the Moscow Stock Exchange, who are in Cyprus, and the Chairman and General Manager of the CSE, Giorgos Koufaris and Nontas Metaxas respectively.

The Russian representation comprises of MICEX’s Chairman, Alexander Potemkin, Vice Chairman, Gennadiy Margolit, Head of Public Relations, Alexey Gerasyuk, Head of International Relations, Andrey Tsivarey and Deputy Manager, Mikhail Temnichenko.

During the contacts, the two stock exchanges had talks on the development of the cooperation and the finding of communication mechanisms. Messrs. Koufaris and Metaxas informed the Russian representation on the advantages that the CSE offers to the foreign companies and the foreign investors.

The Russian representation also had a meeting with Finance Minister, Charilaos Stavrakis.

It is worth noting that CSE Chairman, Giorgos Koufaris, visited Moscow recently as member of the business mission from Cyprus and had talks on the CSE with Russian businessmen.
