Expansion of CSE-ASE cooperation
Taking into account the mutual benefits from the cooperation via the
CSE-ASE Common Platform and the significant challenges that they must face for
their further future development, the Cyprus Stock Exchange and the Athens
Stock Exchange proceeded with the expansion of their cooperation framework with
the signing of supplementary agreements.
The expanded cooperation between EXAE Group and the CSE aims at the
development of new products and services to the participants of the two markets
and the increase in their competitiveness with the exploitation of the lower
operating cost and the economies of scale that the homogeneous technological
and regulatory environment offers.
Therefore, the two stock exchanges redefined their way of cooperation
with supplementary agreements as to the existing infrastructures and recognized
the need to expand their cooperation with the opening of the derivatives market
to the Cypriot members, as well as the offer of new market data feed with
competitive cost via the infrastructures and the Data Feed Network – ASE
customers.
Finally, the rights of the Cypriot Depository for the Cypriot shares
trading secondarily in the Greek market have been settled.
